Plastic Surgeon Fills a Need in Growing Hispanic Community

"The nation’s Hispanic population
increased 1.4 million to reach 45.5 million on July 1,
2007, or 15.1 percent of the estimated total U.S.
population of 301.6 million," according to U.S. Census
release recently. The 2007 Cosmetics Demographics report
of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons showed that
Hispanics remained the second largest cosmetic patient
group (1,011,071).
With the growth of the Hispanic
population follows a need for highly qualified
professionals who are very knowledgeable in performing
procedures and gaining outcomes which take specific
Hispanic attributes in consideration.

was born in Santiago, Chile and raised in San Juan, Puerto
Rico.
He completed his
undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech
before returning home to obtain his medical degree from the
University of Puerto Rico. His interest in surgery, artistic
inclination, and analytical skills led him to pursue training in
plastic surgery at Georgetown University Hospital. He joined the
South Florida medical community as a plastic surgeon interested
in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
