WellPoint Web Sites Receive Six eHealthcare Leadership Awards

Awards Granted for Best Healthcare Content, Best Overall Internet Site, Best eBusiness Site, Best Care/Disease Management Site, Best Healthcare Content and Best Intranet Site

Wellpoint, a company that provides a comprehensive range of group and individual health benefit, life and disability products, was honored with six eHealthcare Leadership Awards for its outstanding Web sites.

Anthem.com earned a Gold Award for Best Healthcare Content and two Silver Awards for Best Overall Internet Site and Best eBusiness Site. The Anthem CDHP portal won a Gold Award for Best Care/Disease Management Site, and Silver Awards were presented to Unicare.com for Best Healthcare Content and WorkNet, the company's intranet, for Best Intranet Site. The awards were presented at the Eleventh Annual Healthcare Internet Conference.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards exclusively recognizes the very best Web sites of healthcare industry. These awards highlight the Internet's role in achieving an organization's business objectives and recognize the hard work that has gone into creating outstanding health Web sites. Strategic Health Care Communications, the publishers of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends and Strategic Health Care Marketing, sponsors the annual awards program. The program attracted nearly 1,100 entries.
